I got to try the coolest birthday candles for my second oldest son’s birthday this past December.  He turned 7 on December 22nd and since his birthday is usually mixed in with holiday madness, I always make sure to make his birthday cake extra special.  This year he wanted a cowboy boot, so I created just that.  We usually just use those shaped number candles, but not this year!!

Izzy from izzywicks sent me a package of her birthday candles as well as some of her bee torches.  The bee torches are like tiny little tiki torches.  They can be used for lighting hard to reach places or even just used as birthday candles.  I’m saving these for my (soon to be) 3 year old’s birthday next month!  Yes, there WILL be pictures!

The birthday candles are made from 100% natural beeswax.  They are all hand dipped and come in a variety of different colors.  They are so cool as the wick is dipped at both ends.  My birthday boy thought they looked like tiny nunchuks.  We used the rainbow birthday candles on his cake and were very pleased.  They didn’t smoke forever after they were blown out like regular, store bought candles do.
