I’ve always been a huge fan of those stick incense.  Ever since I was a teenager, I would burn them in my room daily.  I had no idea about all of chemicals and toxins I was exposing myself to at the time.  Since becoming a crunchy mom, I’ve learned how to safely enjoy pretty much everything I already enjoyed.  This includes my beloved incense!

Kara of ApotheKara makes the most delicious smelling incense I have ever burned!  She uses natural, organic and sustainable ingredients in her incense.  Each scent is made in small batches by hand.  She sent me a jar of the Pumpkin Patch-ouli to try and OMG.  Yes.  This stuff is decadent.

These incense pellets are not self-lighting, so you must use them with incense charcoal.  It’s a little more of a process than just the sticks that you light, but the benefit is worth it!  You can buy the charcoal at your local head shop or hookah shop.  The pellets are full of herbs and spices that you can see (and almost want to eat!) so you know what is in them.  The Pumpkin Patch-ouli is not only a perfect fall or holiday scent, but one of my favorite warm and inviting scents.  It smells sweet and can fool guests into thinking you are baking a pumpkin pie!

If you are obsessed with incense like me, but want to get all of the unhealthy sticks of chemicals out of your home, check out Kara’s shop!  She has several different scents and even a starter kit if you are a REAL incense newbie!

If you’d like to enter to win a jar of incense, follow the steps on the widget below!  View our complete giveaway rules.  Winner will be selected and posted on our Facebook page next Tuesday, April 22nd!
