Young Living is the second essential oil company that I have been introduced to and I am really impressed!  Young Living owns 9 farms across the world where they grow their own plants and herbs.  I love that they stay in control of the product from planting the seeds to bottling the product.

Kate sent me 5 samples of oil to review and compare.  She sent me Lavender, Clove, Peppermint, PanAway and Di-Gize.  Since lavender is our go-to oil for just about anything, we started using the Young Living brand for our night time routine.  It smells very similar to the other brand I reviewed early this week.  It works just as well and sends my little guy into sleepy land pretty quickly.

The clove and peppermint smell a little more earthy and less sweet than the other brand.  After I diluted the clove to use on my youngest for his teething pain, I tasted it from my finger to compare.  Young Living’s clove tasted a bit more bitter than the other brand.  I also used the clove on my son’s foot to numb the area when he had a huge splinter!

The PanAway reminds me of that icy-hot cream stuff you rub into sore muscles.  The awesome thing is, the oil absorbs into your skin so you aren’t walking around with that stinky smell on you all day.  I used the PanAway on a sore neck and it took the neck cramp away almost immediately.  I can’t stand that minty smell so I was surprised when the smell went away rather quickly.

I have only tried the Di-Gize once, but the one time I used it, I was so thankful!!  Since I have had kids, I get heartburn a lot more often that I used to when I eat certain foods.  It’s such a pain and I usually just suffer through it because I hate tums, but no more!!  I rubbed a bit of the Di-Gize on my neck and chest and waited a few minutes.  It took a little longer than “instant relief”, but it greatly reduced my heartburn.  Usually when I get heartburn, I get it at night and it pops up throughout the night.  I only applied the Di-Gize once and the heartburn didn’t come back at all!  SUCH a relief, even if not instant.

My mom is a huge fan of the peppermint for her headaches.  It is instant relief for her when she applies the oil to her temples.  I had to make her a little sample bottle for her purse so she wouldn’t steal mine!  Go check out all of the amazing things Young Living has to offer and feel free to contact Kate if you have any questions!  If you are interested in signing up to be a Young Living consultant or even just signing up for the kit and discount, use this referral link to be on Kate’s team!
