As a mom of 5, I clean A LOT.  Pretty much all day, every day, someone in my house is making a mess.  When I go into deep cleaning mode, it’s almost as if I run out of supplies before I run of of dirt.  Our kitchen usually gets the brunt of the mess, so I was so thrilled to finally try out some Unpaper Towels.

Carmen at Natural Linens sent me a kitchen package including a dozen unpaper towels and two coffee filters.  The unpaper towels are made from organic, unbleached birdseye cotton fabric that has an awesome diamond design.  The pattern makes it slightly scrubby so they work well at getting stuck on food off of your table or counters!  The unpaper towels are a nice big size and serged around the edges perfectly so the fabric doesn’t fray.  I actually like that they are without snaps so there is nothing getting in the way of me wiping up messes.

My almost 9 year old has gotten into origami so he is our official napkin folder.  It’s so adorable to watch my kids act all fancy with their folded cloth napkins at dinner time.  The unpaper towels would also make great cloth / family wipes if you bought a set just for that purpose.  They are pretty big, so you would likely be able to get away with just using one wipe per diaper change / potty time.  You can wash and reuse them again and again, but I would recommend not using any fabric softeners so they don’t start to repel water.  They get softer with each wash, very similar to cloth diaper prefolds or flats.

The coffee filters are also pretty cool!  They take a little bit of getting used to and holding them just right so you don’t spill the contents after use.  No more need to throw out a new paper liner every morning after you make your daily coffee.  You really only have to wash them in the machine when they get extra grungy.  You can just rinse it out and let it air dry and your filter is ready for the next pot of coffee.  The coffee filters are available in the round or cone style, so no coffee maker is left out!

Natural Linens carries other great, reusable products like food bags and home decor.  There are even variety packs in case you’d like to try several different items at a great price!
