Clean Food Diet is a great e-Book for busy people, especially moms who want to eat clean but don’t always have the time to prep and cook huge meals.  This book has a lot of great recipes for snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner and they are mostly quick and easy.  I actually like that some of the recipes use “convenience” foods like canned beans.  Just because you use a canned product, doesn’t mean it has to take about from the healthiness of the meal.  I don’t have the time or patience to soak and cook beans so if a can of organic beans goes into dinner, I am all for it.

Now the one thing that this book was missing, in my opinion, was meat.  While I do love my fruits and veggies, I also love chicken, turkey and fish.  I think that some leaner meats would really make these recipes have more of an impact.  Of course, you can easily alter the recipe to include your choice of protein which is what I did in several instances.  Being a vegetarian cookbook makes it more versatile in a way since you can more easily add in meat rather than creating recipes that are based AROUND a meat.

I really like the pictures in the e-Book but I wish there were more!!  One picture for every recipe would be amazing!  I also think it’s important to use your common sense when reading this e-Book.  One of the recipes calls for dark chocolate chips, so be reasonable when you’re shopping for the ingredients and really read the packages.
