My boys love new games, so they couldn’t wait to open Rush Hour Shift and start playing!  Rush Hour Shift is a two player game that is strategy-based, so it is best for older children.  My eight and nine year old learned how to play rather quickly and I would guess than my six year old could also understand the rules fairly easily if he watched his brothers play a few times.

The game comes with three “game board” parts that connect and can shift back and forth, kind of like a mini earthquake.  The object of the game is to get your car from one side of the board and all the way to the other side and off of the board.  There are other vehicles strategically placed both vertically and horizontally on the board that you have to maneuver around or move out of your way.

The game could be considered a “travel game” because it comes with a little carrying bag.  I love this because I cannot stand those huge boxes that games come in when they have so few pieces.  It’s so cumbersome to try to store them that way.

Overall, my boys really love this game and didn’t want to put it away when it was bed time!
