Today is the day that we take a moment to remember all of the babies lost during pregnancy or in infancy. So many times, these babies forgotten by others because it seems too hard as an outsider to know what to do or what to say to the parents who have lost a little one. Studies have shown that 10-25% of pregnancies will end in miscarriage so the chances are that you know at least one woman who has experienced a loss. […]
I have recently come across an amazing artist who has been in my mind for quite sometime. I didn’t know who she was or where I would find her, but I know that this artist was out there waiting for me to discover her. Just a couple weeks ago, the lovely Deleena Foster posted a beautiful coloring page in a Facebook group that we are both in and I KNEW she was the artist I had been waiting to find. I immediately contacted her and told her how much I loved her work and that I thought she would be the PERFECT addition to our Crunchy Family team. I am so excited to announce that she accepted my excited proposal and will be bringing her art to the blog in the form of her coloring books, art prints and other Crunchy Family exclusives! […]
We love to do things as a family and living in Texas, one of the best things you can do when Fall comes around is to go to the State Fair of Texas. We were invited to visit the fair this past weekend and were super excited about it! When we first got there, my boys ran straight towards the rides. I had a plan and it flew right out of the window! Since mom staring at her carefully planned itinerary and map is “boring”, I just went with it and off to the rides we went. There are TONS of rides for all ages and my four year old, Chevy, was actually tall enough to ride some all by himself. He was SO excited!! […]
If you own ANYTHING that is stainless steel, you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to clean. Seriously, I cannot tell you how many times I have tried different sprays, powders, lotions and potions to get my mom’s refrigerator and other kitchen appliances not only CLEAN, but streak-free. That is the biggest issue. The streaks.
Although they are very sleek and modern looking, stainless steel appliances collect grime and fingerprints super easily. My mom’s refrigerator always looked so grungy and I could never keep it looking nice until I got to try out the Stainless Steel Pack from e-cloth.BEFORE
The Stainless Steel Pack comes with two different cloths. The Stainless Steel cloth has a scrubby texture that is perfect for getting your appliances clean and free of all of the grime. The best part is that you don’t have to use any kind of chemicals or cleaners with the cloth. WATER ONLY!! The Finishing Cloth is used dry after cleaning off the appliance to remove fingerprints, water spots and other smudges. I could not believe how easy it was to get these items clean and without the use of the pile of cleaners that I was convinced were necessary! […]
I wanted to post a HUGE update since I haven’t written about my surrogacy in a while. I have been SO busy working and moving back and forth. These past couple of months been absolutely CRAZY for me. Things are finally settled down and we have gotten into a nice routine, so let me update you on my journey…
On my last surrogacy post, we had just had our first midwife appointment. Since then, we have grown (literally AND figuratively) leaps and bounds in our journey. We went through an STD scare. Apparently you can get a false positive for Syphilis when you are pregnant. This ended up with me getting a shot in each butt cheek only to find out I didn’t REALLY have Syphilis. Thank you, Faulty Tests. […]
I have pretty crappy skin, so I was excited to try the Tea Tree Oil Acne Lotion from Create Cosmetics. Since becoming pregnant, I am having breakouts like crazy, so I should have known something was different (It’s a girl!!). I usually have really nice skin when I am pregnant, but not this time!!
I really love tea tree oil on its own because it’s such a cure-all. I have used it for many things that ail me (and my family), so I had high expectations of it. I like to use the lotion after I shower and wash my face. It’s a little tingly and makes my skin feel cool. Tea Tree Oil is naturally anti-inflammatory, so it takes the red out of your face pretty quickly. It’s also anti-bacterial so it helps to keep all the grimy germs that love to clog your pores at bay.
The lotion is also full of great ingredients like Shea butter and Jojoba oil which nourish and moisturize your skin. I noticed a really big difference after about two weeks of using the lotion. I definitely continue to use it as a preventative because it’s such a great moisturizer for my skin. […]
When I got my awesome Yoga Design Lab mat, it didn’t come with a strap. I was pretty bummed about this because it’s hard to keep it rolled up on its own. I thought about making a bag or something for it, but I am so bad about making things for myself. Eventually, I came upon a review opportunity for the Clever Yoga Mat Strap.
Life is SO much easier with a strap on your yoga mat. It’s just a simple piece of 100% all natural cotton webbing with a loop on each end, but it has MANY uses! Let me tell you about them…
I love to cook from scratch, so having high quality ingredients is a big deal. I got to sample the Organic Vanilla Bean Powder from Sunny Day Organics and I’m pretty sure I will never go back to “regular” vanilla again!! The Organic Vanilla Bean Powder is made from 100% raw and organic vanilla beans. They are gluten free, vegan and loaded with antioxidants. This vanilla powder also have trace amounts of minerals such as potassium and iron.
The powder can be used in place of vanilla extract in pretty much any recipe. It can also be added to coffee or smoothies. It can be used to make a mosquito repellent, which I haven’t tried yet because I haven’t run out of my current bug spray. It can also be used to add aromatherapy fragrance to many DIY beauty products! I love it most in smoothies and baking! I just LOVE the fresh, strong taste of the vanilla. […]

I love organization tools!! I have a lot of STUFF, so since I am living in a TINY space now, I need to be able to stack, stash, store and most importantly hang stuff! There’s so many places in our RV where you can hang things, from the walls and ceiling, to the cabinets and little hooks we have all over the place. […]
