We do a lot of outings like the zoo and the park where we usually end up needing to eat lunch.  I discovered the GoPicnic meals while shopping for easy to eat foods when I had to be at a consignment sale all day.  They are a healthy, balanced meal that is shelf stable and ready to go with you anywhere!  The first one I tried had this AMAZING black bean dip with plantain chips.  The dip is TO DIE FOR!!  I seriously want large containers of this stuff.  It has jalapenos to give it a little bit of spice.

The other day, we had a boy scout picnic, so I grabbed myself a GoPicnic meal.  I picked out the Salami & Cheese meal.  It comes with crackers, an asiago cheese spread, smoked salami, trail mix and some little chocolate pillow cookies.  YUM.  It’s really, REALLY tasty for a boxed meal.  These things put lunchables to shame.

The meals contain no trans-fats or artificial colors/flavors.  They come with cute little wooden utensils when needed and are enough to fill you up and give you energy!  Best of all, they require no heating and no refrigeration so you don’t have to lug around a huge cooler to hold all of your lunch supplies along with your drinks.

These only cost about $3.50 at Target which is about the same cost as a big lunchable, but way tastier!  Paired with a bottle of water, you have a great, healthy meal on the go.
