*Clean the sink out before bed! It is much more pleasant to wake up to a shiny sink than one full of dirty dishes!
*Run the dishwasher at night. Fresh, clean dishes to start the day with are amazing!
*Put tennis balls in the dryer to help dry laundry faster, especially sheets, towels, and blankets!
*Save your stale bread/crackers/buns to feed the birds/ducks/squirrels with your littles. Who doesn’t enjoy feeding the birds?
*Save your kitchen scraps (fruit, veggies, tea bags, coffee grounds, etc) for the compost bin. Use the compost for mulch in your garden, around your plants/trees, etc. Cheaper and safer!
*Make a menu plan! It helps your grocery trip be quicker and cheaper, and doesn’t leave you stressing at the last minute about what’s for dinner!
*Use your old newspaper as fire food (fireplace in the winter), and as weed deterrent in the garden. It is also good for softening soil (check out this article on lasagna gardening)
*Keep plants such as lemongrass around your doors to deter bugs! Less bug bites and less bugs in the house is always a plus!
*Use applesauce in place of oil in any recipe! You’ll never know the difference!
*Always use real butter!! After all, margarine is one element away from being plastic!
*Put foil over your burner bibs! MUCH easier to clean up spills on the stove and keeps your burner bibs in better condition!
*Keep a basket at the top & bottom of the stairs. As you find things throughout the day that don’t belong, add them to the basket. Saves unnecessary trips up and down.

This is such a short list and I know you wonderful mamas out there have excellent tips to add!! Would you please leave a comment with your favorite tip(s)?? What makes your life easier?
