Sometimes a load of junk food can really mess with your internal system and because of that, I am so thankful for Calm-a-Tummy by WishGarden Herbs.  This past weekend, my 3 oldest boys went camping with their Boy Scout pack (and their Poppy) and consumed large quantities of things that would make any crunchy mom shudder.  It was a treat weekend so I didn’t worry about making sure Poppy monitored their intake of junk food, but I should have known better.  This morning when school time rolled around, the effects of the junk hit my 7 year old.  He was crying that he had a tummy ache so I kept him home for the day.

As soon as I got back from dropping off the other kids at school, I made him take some Calm-a-Tummy in a cup of honey tea to mask the flavor.  I gave it to him once in the past and he did not like the taste of it straight under the tongue!  Heheh…  It’s got some great ingredients such as fennel, ginger and peppermint which is what I would take for upset tummies when pregnant.  A couple hours later, he was feeling well enough to want to go to school, but I kept him home for the rest of the day, just in case.

Calm-a-Tummy is great for nausea and tummy aches in little ones.  It is specially formulated to be gentle on their digestive systems and calms the rumble in the tummy.  I really appreciate the fact that I can mix it with something that tastes better because a lot of these formulas aren’t as easy for kids to swallow as they are for adults!  Kids are picky and having that option is always AWESOME!
