My kids and I have been battling stuffy noses due to colds and allergies for the past couple months.  I thought it’d be fun to try the Stuffy Nose Respiratory Steam I got from WishGarden Herbs in a few different ways.  I first tried it as a tea, which I really love.  It’s so warm and soothing!  It opens up my sinuses in no time.

When I used it with my kids, I did the boiled water in a bowl with the towel over the head method.  It worked just as well, thankfully, since my kids refuse to drink hot tea.  Last night I was stuffy once again and I really wanted a hot bath, so I decided to try something new.  I turned the bath water on as hot as it would go and threw in a handful of the tea.  I let my tub tea steep for about 10 minutes before adding a little cool water (because I burned my foot when I tried to get in) and hopped in.  It was SO nice to soak in a tub with these herbs in a steamed up bathroom.  Since I could submerge my chest into the “tea” I felt like it really cleared out my congestion a lot better than just inhaling it or drinking it.

I would suggest using some cheesecloth when you drain the tub as I don’t know if the tea could clog the drains.  It’s totally worth that extra step though for a full body steam!!  This stuff is great and you can do 5-8 big steams or even more cups of tea.  Of course, the awesome jar is reusable, so that’s a big plus in my book!  Go check out all of the awesome products at WishGarden Herbs!
