As someone who’s currently trying to conceive (TTC), I’ve been all about dreaming up fun ways to make the most of this super exciting time. I absolutely can’t wait to try out all these ideas with my boyfriend, who, by the way, is an amazing cook!
I’m still trying to catch up to his culinary skills, so a couple’s cooking or baking class sounds like the perfect way for us to bond—and for me to learn a thing or two. He’s definitely going to love it, and I’m super excited to join him in the kitchen fun!

Getting a prenatal massage is such a great idea because is not just a wonderful way to enjoy much-needed relaxation; quality time, it’s a great way to ease those pregnancy aches while spending special time together.

- Pick a hilarious comedy or a sweet animated flick and whip up some homemade popcorn.

Board game night? Yes, please! It’s one of the best ways to have some friendly competition without even leaving our living room. Let’s see who’s the strategic mastermind between us!

6. Take a Walk for Some Fresh Air
There’s something so refreshing about a stroll in the great outdoors. It’s easy exercise and the perfect time for us to chat about all the little details of our day—or our baby plans! Such a fun way to spend time together!

Let’s get our hands dirty and try pottery! It’s a chill way to create some cute keepsakes and have a blast molding and painting together. This would definitely be something I would love to do because I have never tried before!

10. Organize a Fancy Dinner at Home
Let’s turn our dining room into the fanciest eatery in town for a night. Think multi-course meal, non-alcoholic wine, and maybe even dressing up! My boyfriend will be so up for this! It will not take much convincing. You can even come up with a theme, like: A night in Paris…and make it super fancy and sexy.

- Splurge and order in from that upscale restaurant we love, then focus on setting a romantic scene at home.
11. Enjoy a Prenatal Yoga Class

Yoga is perfect for staying flexible and stress-free during pregnancy, plus it’s a chance to meet other parents-to-be. With my daughter I did yoga until 37 weeks and I am sure it helped with her birth being amazing. Maybe we’ll even make some new friends!

- Test out different yoga styles like water yoga for a unique twist.
- Look for outdoor classes to enjoy fresh air and nature while we stretch.
12. Play Video Games Together
If we’re in the mood for some home adventure, why not a video game night? From cooperative to competitive, there’s a game for every mood. You can get some old school games like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Super Mario.

13. Have a DIY Spa Night

Why not turn our bathroom into a spa for the evening? Face masks, homemade beauty treatments, homemade soaps and perhaps even a DIY foot soak could make for a super relaxing night. I already do that with my boyfriend and he loves it.

- Set the mood with a playlist and some safe essential oils.
- Treat each other to pedicures with some cute, pregnancy-safe nail polish.
14. Create a Baby Names List
Naming our baby might just be one of the biggest decisions we’ll make, but it can also be one of the most fun! Let’s make a night of it with lists, books, and maybe even a little internet deep-dive. You can also google the meaning of the names.

- Write names on slips of paper and pull them out of a jar for a spontaneous feel.

There’s nothing quite like a clear night sky for a bit of romance. Let’s find a cozy spot, a good stargazing app, and marvel at the universe together. I have a very nice telescope and love stargazing.

- Pack a nighttime picnic with all our favorite snacks.
- Attend a stargazing event and learn from the pros.
16. Have a Maternity Photoshoot
A professional photoshoot can help us capture the magic of this special time. Plus, it’s a great excuse to get a bit dressed up and feel glamorous!
- Pick a scenic outdoor location like a park or a beach for natural beauty.
- Bring meaningful props—maybe something from our childhood or our favourite books.
- Go for a fun theme that matches our personalities—superheroes, anyone?
17. Host a Fancy Tea Party
How about a sophisticated afternoon with tea, treats, and our closest friends or family? We can make it as fancy or laid-back as we like. I did that when I was pregnant with my daughter and it was a fantastic opportunity to spend time with everyone and share the love.

- Deck out our space with chic decor and fresh flowers for a touch of elegance.

Getting crafty can be a lot of fun, especially when we’re making something sweet for our baby’s future room. It’s all about adding those personal touches that make it feel like home.
